PATHWAY TO EUROPE

FROM CULTIVATION TO EUROPEAN
PHARMACEUTICAL SUPPLY CHAINS

International medicinal cultivation projects can involve technical, quality, regulatory and commercial dependencies that extend well beyond cultivation itself.

Vireon's Pathway to Europe helps projects understand their current position, identify meaningful priorities and prepare for relevant downstream interfaces.

UNDERSTAND THE PATHWAY BEFORE INVESTING IN THE DESTINATION.

START WITH THE RIGHT QUESTION

Before significant resources are committed to infrastructure, certification preparation or supply chain development, it is important to understand the project's objective, current position and major dependencies.

Vireon helps bring those questions forward before assumptions become investments.

IS THERE A CREDIBLE PATHWAY? ASSESS BEFORE OVERINVESTING.

Pathway to Europe

01 UNDERSTAND

Define the intended objective, target context and current project position. A clear understanding of where the project is trying to go is necessary before meaningful readiness can be considered.

Define the destination before defining the path.

03 PRIORITISE

Not every gap carries the same significance for the intended pathway. Development should focus on the areas that are most relevant to progressing the project.

Focus development where it matters.

05 PREPARE

As readiness develops, the project can prepare for the relevant interfaces with downstream organisations and professionals. This includes understanding expectations, responsibilities and the information needed to support appropriate engagement.

Prepare for the interface.

02 ASSESS

Develop a structured understanding of the current position, including what can already be demonstrated, where meaningful gaps may exist and where external dependencies may matter.

Understand where the project actually stands.

04 STRENGTHEN

Relevant operational capability, technical systems, quality systems and supporting practices may need to be developed or strengthened. The objective is not simply to create documentation, but to support systems that can operate consistently and generate appropriate evidence.

Build capability — not just documentation.

06 CONNECT

Vireon can support appropriate engagement with relevant supply chain interfaces when the project has reached a suitable stage of readiness. Connection supports the next stage of the pathway but does not itself constitute approval or acceptance.

Connection is not approval.

Maintain

Operations, people, systems, requirements and supply chain expectations can change over time. Readiness therefore needs to be maintained rather than treated as a one-time project outcome

READINESS IS A CONDITION TO MAINTAIN — NOT A DOCUMENT TO OBTAIN.

YOU MAY NOT NEED EVERY STAGE

Some projects may be at an early feasibility stage. Others may already have established operations, quality systems or downstream relationships. The Pathway can therefore begin from the relevant current position rather than assuming every organisation requires the same program.

START WHERE THE PROJECT ACTUALLY IS.

WHAT THE PATHWAY IS — AND IS NOT

CAN SUPPORT

  • Understanding current position

  • Identify meaningful gaps

  • Focusing development priorities

  • Strengthening readiness

  • Prepare downstream interfaces

  • Supporting appropriate supply chain engagement

DOES NOT PROVIDE

  • GACP or GMP certification

  • Regulatory approval

  • Import authorisation

  • QP batch certification or release
